Medication Review

Your medication reviews are changing!

NCMC are always looking to improve access and make things easier for you. From January 2023, and moving forward, the practice will be moving to MONTH OF BIRTH medication reviews. This means that all of your medications will be lined up to fit with your birth month making it easier to remember for you, and ensuring you only have to have one review throughout the year. You will not need to contact us to book this in, as staff will be contacting you to arrange for any relevant blood tests, and then booking your follow-up with the practice nurse or clinician as appropriate. If you do not require blood tests then we will send you an online review to confirm there are no issues with your current medications and that you are happy to continue.

Please note these medication reviews should not be used to discuss other medical concerns and should you wish to contact the surgery for an appointment you can continue to do this for a routine appointment from 08:00am Monday to Friday.

Repeat Prescriptions

Requests for repeat medication can be made online via the link at the top of this page or by returning the prescription counterfoil to reception

Please allow 72 hours (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) to action your prescription.

Alternatively you can nominate a local chemist (from a list available here) and we will arrange for your medication to be available for collection from that chemist within 3 working days.

Nominate a Pharmacy

To make the process of collecting your prescriptions easier we recommend you nominate a pharmacy. Each month your prescription will be sent to your chosen pharmacy and dispensed. This saves you time and effort as you won't need to come to the surgery, you just go to your pharmacy and collect!

To nominate your pharmacy, firstly please speak to the pharmacy you would like to choose. Once they have confirmed they can take on your prescriptions you will need to let the surgery know. You can do this by completing our "nominate a pharmacy" form and submitting it to the surgery. You can collect this form from reception or click on the image opposite to print out and take to the surgery.
